Watch: Dustin Johnson gives HILARIOUS response to Bryson DeChambeau’s giving away socks incident at LIV Golf Adelaide
Adam Cairns-USA TODAY Network

Bryson DeChambeau‘s actions during LIV Golf Adelaide in Australia have left many fans stunned. During the tournament, the former U.S. Open winner made a bet with a spectator regarding putting. Unfortunately for him, his putt missed the hole and he ended up losing the wager.

This saw him being forced to give his socks away. As strange as it may sound, the American golfer happily obliged to the wish of the spectator and gave away his socks. This incident later brought a hilarious reaction from Dustin Johnson.

After the contest, Bryson DeChambeau would walk away to the clubhouse on bare feet. As he reached the entrance, Johnson was seen sitting on the stairs which lead to a hilarious conversation between them.

I lost my socks in a putting contest,” DeChambeau said which saw Johnson inquiring him, “You had to give your socks?”. The Crushers GC captain kept on walking and explained that, “Someone wanted my socks. I missed the putt“.

That’s disgusting

Dustin Johnson said.

Johnson though was not done there. After DeChambeau walked past him, the former World No. 1 would ask him one last question on whether he (DeChambeau) signed them off to which he replied, “Yep“.

Many are still wondering why did the fan particularly asked for his socks. The answer to this remains a mystery.

The players though did seem to enjoy themselves out there in Adelaide with multiple players doing a shoey (drinking through a shoe) as the atmosphere of the tournament was compared to the WM Phoenix Open. In the end, the event turned out to be a major success for LIV Golf.

Phil Mickelson shares valuable advice with Bryson DeChambeau

While he might not be the top guy in golf anymore, Phil Mickelson still has some valuable experience in him. The 45-time PGA Tour champion has been on a long winless drought since moving to LIV Golf.

Despite this, he continues to aid in the development of the breakaway tour and keeps on advising young talent. This time, he had some valuable advise for Bryson DeChambeau.

In a video shared on X by Crushers GC, the six-time major champion can be seen teaching DeChambeau on how to deal with some bunker shots. “The Lefty” went on to explain him on how to execute a perfect bunker shot.

After the demonstration from him, DeChambeau was seen using the tip. The 30-year-old golfer’s ball almost managed to sneak in leading to Mickelson expressing, “What a shot“.

This though is not the first time where Mickelson is seen sharing tips to young players. Recently, he was reported to have given a similar piece of advice to youngster Caleb Surrat. Apart from this, he has set up an “Ultimate Chipping Game” to help out Brendan Steele and the rest of his HyFlyers teammate in chipping the ball which could further enhance their gameplay.
