The PGA Tour regular season comes to a close this week at the Wyndham Championship, and we've got you covered with a few weeks to attack the finale from a betting perspective. Here are my four favorite prop bets for the Wyndham Championship.
J.T. Poston is on an absolute heater right now. The 30-year-old has recorded finishes of T2, T41, T6 and T6 in his last four starts, and he's gained nearly 21 strokes with his putter over that span. Sedgefield Country Club is a perfect course for Poston's game, and he proved that in 2019 when he won the Wyndham Championship at 22 under par.
If you want to talk about a horse for the course this week, look no further than Webb Simpson, who actually has a child named Wyndham.
In 14 career starts at Sedgefield, Simpson has a win, two runner-up finishes and nine top-10s. The North Carolina native recorded five straight top-seven finishes here before having to withdraw early last season. I don't care that Simpson hasn't finished inside the top 10 since March. He's always live to contend at his favorite course on Tour.
Nicholas Lindheim is the hottest golfer in the world you've never heard about.
The 38-year-old is a longtime grinder on the Korn Ferry Tour, and he has a win and four top-eight finishes in his last five starts. He's matched up against Canadian Adam Svensson, who's recorded just one top-25 finish in his last 12 starts and has lost strokes on approach seven times in his last eight events. Iron play is paramount at Sedgefield, and Svensson's iron play is not where it needs to be right now. Give me the hotter player in this matchup.
Aaron Rai is quietly putting together an impressive string of golf. The two-gloved Englishman has five top-25 finishes and two top-10s in his last seven starts, and he's gained multiple strokes off the tee and on approach over that span. His toughest competition in this market is Callum Tarren, who's lost more than five strokes on approach over his last three starts and has one top-25 finish since January.
