The non-tender deadline is tonight , and one guy that was presumably on the bubble was Guillermo Heredia. However, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Braves have avoided arbitration with Heredia, agreeing to a one-year deal worth $1 million.

Considering Heredia was expected to make $1.6 million through arbitration, this is a fantastic move by the Braves. He provides outfield depth, but most importantly, Heredia is a critical piece to the clubhouse, keeping everybody loose and confident. Last season, Heredia hit .220 with five home runs for the Braves in 305 at-bats.
