AEW hires new Chief Operating Officer

AEW has a new Chief Operating Officer. 

Kosha Irby has been hired for the role. Irby served as Regional Director, Live Events for WWE from 2011-2018. Fightful first reported his hiring on Tuesday, and his role as COO was later confirmed by our own Dave Meltzer.

Irby had been working as the Chief Marketing Officer for the Clemson University Athletic Department since February 2023. After leaving WWE, he worked as the President of the Memphis Express AAF football team from June 2018 to April 2019. He was also the Chief Marketing Officer for Professional Bull Riders LLC from 2019 to 2023. 

The new hire follows AEW's recent loss of three top employees. Former vice president & chief marketing officer Rafael Morffi left for a senior executive role with the Barclays Center. Chief marketing & merchandising officer Dana Massie finished up with the company at the end of 2023 and QT Marshall recently left as well.
