Utah Running Back Micah Bernard Out For The Season
USA TODAY Sports

While Utah was able to escape the upset in Waco against Baylor, they did receive some bad news this week.

Running back Micah Bernard suffered what head coach Kyle Whittingham told the media was a "season-ending injury".

"Micah Bernard's out for the season; that's a season-ending injury," Whittingham said. "We will not have him the rest of the way."

The injury didn't take place during the game or practice, as it was sustained off the field earlier in the week. The details of what caused the injury or what exactly the injury is were not revealed to the media after the game.

The junior was finally healthy this season after a couple of injuries last year and was expected to be a key contributor to Utah's run game. Look for starter Ja'Quinden Jackson and Jaylan Glover to step up in his absence.
