The University of Washington football team has an Asa in its secondary.

How about an Aisa?

They wouldn't play together, just provide different generations of back-row play should a certain Utah defensive back come to Montlake.

While senior safety Asa Turner will be leaving after the coming season, the Huskies have offered cornerback/safety Aisa Galeai from Provo and the Class of 2026.

The means the latter, who hails from Timpview High School, is coming off his freshman season, one in which he played like an upperclassman.

For a 10-3 Thunderbirds team, the 6-foot-1, 178-pound Galeai finished with 22 tackles, 14 pass break-ups and an interception against Orem that he made with an overly aggressive play and returned 6 yards for a touchdown.

His highlight tape revealed a defender who plays fearlessly, coming across the field to level offensive opponents.

Galeai wears a block orange "T" on his helmet that resembles Tennessee, which is one of his suitors.

He's also heard from hometown BYU, Arizona, Arizona State, California, Central Florida, UNLV, Utah and Washington State.

While recently having a bunch of Utah players on the roster who came and went, among them Puka Nacua, Taki Taimani, MJ Tafisi and Jordan Lolohea, the Huskies currently have just one in defensive lineman/edge rusher Voi Tunuufi from East High in the Salt Lake City suburbs.
