A minimumweight title fight on the undercard of Jaime Munguía’s clash against John Ryder will see Oscar Collazo (8-0, 6 KOs) defend his WBO belt for a second time.

The Puerto Rican takes on Nicaragua’s Reyneris Gutierrez (10-1, 2 KOs, 1 NC) just prior to the main event. Oscar De La Hoya‘s Golden Boy Promotions will promote the Jan. 27 event, broadcast live on DAZN. Collazo-Gutierrez will also be presented in association with Miguel Cotto Promotions.

Oscar Collazo Ready to Entertain

Collazo fights for the first time since a sixth-round stoppage win over Garen Diagan in August last year. That fight marked his first defence of the WBO minimumweight title. He won the belt with a seventh-round stoppage of then-world champion Melvin Jerusalem in May last year.

“With less than a week away for my second world title defence, I feel great and at my best moment,” said Collazo. “As always, we are very prepared and focused on what we are going to do on January 27 and leave the ring with our hand-raised. We have a good plan in place like all our previous fights, and we are ready to entertain in front of the people of Arizona, Puerto Rico, and on DAZN. Thank you, Miguel Cotto Promotions and Golden Boy for the opportunity to be on such a big card featuring a spectacular main event between Jaime Munguia and John Ryder.”

Collazo-Gutierrez will not be the only world title bout on the card. Gabriela Fundora (12-0, 5 KOs, 1 NC), who recently signed a co-promotional deal with Golden Boy Promotions, will also feature. She takes on Christina Cruz in the first defence of her IBF flyweight title. Fundora won the belt with a fifth-round stoppage of Arely Muciño last October.
