This is Danica Patrick’s first full season racing in NASCAR following years as an IndyCar driver. She’s 18th in the point standings with three finishes outside the top 15 in the past five races. Patrick’s crew chief, Tony Eury Jr., said other drivers are disrespecting Patrick.
“There's not a lot of respect for her out there right now," Eury told USA Today. "That's been showing over the last couple of weeks. I'm trying to teach her to understand she's got to get the respect somehow. If they keep running over her, she's not going to get that respect.”

It is hard to get respect when so many drivers are working their way up from the bottom through Arca and Nationwide and cant get a ride when she gets a ride handed to her because Nascar needs the so called attention. She can go back to Indy cars.
-
You ar right she needs to earn respect and the right to play with the big boys. Not Buy it

Winning helps also.

It also helps to have talent to earn respect. She never earned the respect of the other drivers in Indy Car because she didn't have any talent and the same thing is going to be true in NASCAR. In the Nationwide series where the competition level is not very deep (primarily due to lack of sponsorship), money can buy you a certain level of performance - especially on tracks like Michigan, Texas, etc where the cars mechanical performance is more important than the driver's ability. Danica is driving for a team that has won a championship at the Nationwide level and may well have the most sponsorship money available (even Roush does not have the sponsorship money that Go Daddy is putting behind Danica. She is usually a 10th to 15th place finisher at the back of the lead lap or a lap down, primaily because she has a car capable of getting her the "lucky dog." If she finishes in the top 10, it is due to attrition, not racing for it. Oh and by the way Tony, it sure looked to me like she spun out twice all by herself at Michigan and the spin with Austin Dillon was because she came down the track when the faster car was already there. That's not lack of respect, that's just dumb.
