Apparently a man named Nathan Blankenship (above, right), who bears a striking resemblance to to country star Kenny Chesney (above, left), was kicked out of a Chesney concert in Nashville this weekend because fans wouldn’t stop asking to take photos with him.
Guards escorted Blankenship from the premises after he was accused of “purposely trying to impersonate a celebrity” by security working the show.
I didn’t realize that “purposely trying to impersonate a celebrity” was illegal. Doesn’t that mean nearly all of America’s teenage population should be arrested?
Anyways, Blankenship paid $200 for a floor ticket to Chesney’s ”Brothers of the Sun” show at L-P Field in Nashville before getting kicked out. Sony Music, the label to which Chesney is signed and which promoted the concert, has since refunded Blankenship and sent him a basket of merchandise. Chesney himself also published an apology on his website.
If that’s not a weird enough story for you, Blankenship also apparently got karate chopped by a female stranger as he was being kicked out of the show:
