The Queensbury Rules:
The International Committee of the Red Cross announced Wednesday that it has deployed volunteers to the Philippines to help rebuild the suddenly beleaguered nation. Widespread devastation wrought by the controversial split decision awarded to Timothy Bradley over national hero Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night in Las Vegas has left the country in ruins and in “desperate need of humanitarian aid,” Red Cross officials declared. According to multiple reports, two have died and hundreds have been hospitalized for shock and post traumatic stress disorder throughout the Philippines in the wake of the disaster. Aid workers claim these numbers should be considered “conservative estimates” and would be much higher if not for “thousands” of undiagnosed cases throughout the nation. “This is just the tip of the iceberg,” Red Cross volunteer Sandy Mandelberg said. “The aftershock of this catastrophe will resonate for months, if not longer.” Benigno Aquino III, President of the Philippines, ur...

Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley Fight Means Rankings Update Time
What a weekend it has been. Pacquiao certainly looked as if he had thoroughly controlled Timothy Bradley, but guess what? The judges didn't seem to agree with the rest of the human world. Either way, with the Pacquiao vs. Bradley results in and the controversy still raging, it's time to go back to the rankings...
The boxing world is still in an uproar over Timothy Bradley’s controversial win over Manny Pacquiao. While many believe that Pacquiao was robbed by the decision, one of the judges believes that people just don’t understand how fights are judged.
Duane Ford, one of two judges that scored the fight 115-113 in favor of Bradley, spoke to Yahoo! Sports to explain the way he saw the...
Those of you who follow boxing know that last weekend the sport saw one of the most controversial decisions of all time. Timothy Bradley defeated Manny Pacquiao to become the welterweight champion, and people who know boxing say it was obvious that Pacquiao won the fight. For a tremendously thorough analysis on how and why the fight could have been fixed, be sure to read LB’s thoughts...
Everything has to evolve. To sit still while others are improving and progressing is to fall hopelessly behind.
Boxing and horse racing are still trying to live on the same things they did 100 years ago, when they, with baseball, were among the most popular sports in the country. This past Saturday, with a big fight and the Triple Crown finale the same day, these two museum-pieces...
I remember boxing. I remember 1986, when I rooted for Marvin Hagler, only to see him lose a 12-round classic to Sugar Ray Leonard. I remember being at a house party ten years later, when Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield came to blows after Tyson had taken a chunk out of Holyfield’s ear… twice. It [...]
One of boxing's major sanctioning bodies will review Timothy Bradley's controversial split decision victory over Manny Pacquiao, the first step toward what promoter Bob Arum hopes will be ''clarity'' in the judging of the fight.
WBO President Francisco ''Paco'' Valcarcel said in a statement Wednesday that the WBO's championship committee...
The controversy stemming from Saturday’s Manny Pacquiao/Timothy Bradley disaster continues unabated. Promoter Bob Arum has refused to create a rematch between the two fighters unless an investigation is launched into the judging (and presumably the judges themselves) of the welterweight title fight.
Then-champion Pacquiao lost a very questionable decision to Bradley despite outlanding...
Bob Arum, Chairman and CEO of Top Rank, said today that he has submitted a formal request to the Nevada Attorney General’s office for a full and complete inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the scoring of Saturday’s WBO welterweight championship fight between defending champion Manny Pacquiao and challenger Timothy Bradley. The Pacquiao-Bradley welterweight title...
When boxing reality won't do, fantasy has to: Manny Pacquiao's action figure vs. Floyd Mayweather's action figure, with Manny on a flaming motorcyle and Floyd as some kind of death monk. That video came out prior to some recent events. Which action figure do you think would win in his current state -- Manny, perhaps demoralized by his bunk loss to Timothy Bradley...
Is this not the worst victory ever.. This dude just beat the best boxer of his era and now look at him… First, the decision is being reviewed by the WBO. As if he had any say in the decision it’s not his fault. I’m not really sure why the judges would fix this fight [...]

Manny Pacquiao’s a weird dude. I just can’t put my finger on it. The bottom line is even though he lost the fight on Saturday, he’s still a winner because he wasn’t in jail. Feel me?

Testosterone Replacement Therapy is a big problem in MMA and it is slowly making an entrance into the world of Boxing. At this point in time a majority of boxers have no clue what TRT is and it makes sense. Old school trainers and their no non-sense approach to training see many fighters train the [...]
