Jays’ LaCava in Baltimore to meet Angelos
Blue Jays assistant general manager Tony LaCava was in Baltimore on Monday to meet with Orioles owner Peter Angelos regarding the club’s vacant GM position, major-league sources told FOXSports.com.
LaCava had a first-round interview with the Orioles earlier in October. The return trip to Baltimore is interpreted by many in the industry as a sign that LaCava has an excellent chance to receive a job offer.
Angelos didn’t participate in the first set of GM interviews, which were instead conducted by his sons, manager Buck Showalter, and club counsel Russell Smouse.
