Yankees showing interest in free agent Bonderman
The New York Yankees have shown interest in free-agent starter Jeremy Bonderman, a major league source told FOXSports.com.
Bonderman went 8-10 with a 5.53 ERA in 30 games (29 starts) for the Detroit Tigers last year. But he is only 28 and was an All-Star-caliber pitcher in the American League as recently as 2007. He isn’t expected to return to Detroit.
The Yankees’ rotation remains in flux, pending Andy Pettitte’s decision on whether to retire or come back for another season.

Someone please wake up Cashman and the Yankees this off season
-
Cashman should sign Andy to a 1/2 year deal after the All-Star break. He can be with his family, workout and be ready for the playoffs...Do the same in 2012. Then, Andy can retire at age 40 with some extra $ and 2 more World Series rings !

Look, we are al going back and forth with Andy P.If he hasn't made a decision by now, I say forget waiting for him. With the money Andy will get, go and get 1 or 2 free agents that are of mediocre caliber. Bonderman, as I recall pitch well against the Yankees. The old guys will teach him how to pitch again and you have a decent starter for the 4th or 5th spot. Lets wake up!!!

Yes, sign him! I have been saying this all off season. Sign him with performance for his pay. Bonderman needs a change of team & I believe he will blossom. If the Yanks get him he will win 16 games this year

Yes sign him. We can't just go with Sabathia and Hughes. AJ is a headcase and can't be relied on. Can't use the kid as 4th or 5th starter because he wilts after 4 innings.
-
yes sign him A J is not the pitcher he was when he was with Florida or Toronto.

Cashman should sign Bonderman. Pin Pettitte down as to whether he is coming back or is retiring. Pitchers and catchers are due to report to Spring training in about a month. If Burnett cannot return to to being time pitcher he was before the Yankees signed him, then get rid of him! Cashman has to come out of his funk. Cliff Lee played games with him and should just be forgotten about. Obviously Lee has no conscience. With this kind of attitude, he wouldn't want him on the Yankees anyway.

Wkae up Cashman. Sign him immediately. Make his contract performance laden and see what we get. Nothing to lose everything to gain!
-
Go for it. What is the downside? Plus maybe it will convince ANDY to come back!
-
SIGN HIM , SIGN HIM NOW PLEASE
-
Dont know why Cashman is sitting on his hands... I know patience is important but he is only 28 and is very cheapNew scenery could spell 15 game winner. Nothing to lose.. sign him!!!!
-
Totally agree with everyone on here. Should be able to pick him up cheap and give him performance incentives. I really don't see any downside here and the upside has the potential to be huge. Please Brian, wake up from your long winters nap and make a move already!!!!

It is time to sign somebody, otherwise we are going to get our butts kicked and everyone is going to be clamoring to fire Girardi when the problem is the front office has been remiss in NOT getting the starting pitching that we NEED!!!
-
It's time to make some moves. We need pitching desperately. We missed the boat on several pitchers. Why are we not signing Soriano??!! Don't dare tell us $$$!!
We won't be in the playoffs for sure, at this rate!
This Bonderman could turn out to be a real winner for us!
