Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein refutes the idea the team soon will trade left-hander Felix Doubront.
In my latest notes column, two rival general managers say Doubront is more likely to be traded than play a major role in the Boston bullpen next season.
"That report couldn't be further from the truth," Epstein said after learning of this item. "We value Felix tremendously. He has a definite future. We see him as a starter long term, and he could impact our bullpen or rotation in 2011."
