Phillies sign Orr to minor-league deal
The Phillies have signed utility man Pete Orr to a minor-league contract, a source told FOXSports.com.
Orr is a career .260 hitter in the big leagues. He played 347 games in the majors between Atlanta and Washington, from 2005 through 2009.
He spent this season at Class AAA Syracuse in the Washington organization, batting .264 with 12 home runs and 45 RBIs in 137 games. He played six positions – second base, third base, shortstop and all the outfield spots.
