• Free-agent pitcher Joe Blanton has agreed to a two-year, $15 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels, sources say. The deal includes a club option.

• Free-agent reliever Sean Burnett and the Los Angeles Angels agree to a two year deal with a club option, pending a physical. Angels' late-inning options now include Burnett and Scott Downs from the left side, Ryan Madson and Ernesto Frieri from the right.

• Free-agent reliever Randy Choate has agreed to a three-year, $7.5 million deal with the St. Louis Cardinals, sources say.

• The Chicago White Sox and free-agent shortstop Jeff Keppinger have an agreement in place on a three-year deal for about $12 million, according to a source. He also plays second and third base.
